Darel graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree from the Singapore Management University in 2022. She trained with the Corporate and Transactions team at Genesis Law Corporation and joined the team as an Associate after being called to the Singapore Bar in 2023.

Darel’s practice involves a wide range of corporate transactions, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and general corporate advisory. She has experience in numerous high-value transactions and has worked with start-ups, multinational corporations and listed companies across diverse sectors. She has been involved in conducting legal due diligence, drafting and reviewing shareholders’ agreements, sale and purchase agreements, share subscription agreements, service agreements and other contracts related to M&A transactions, as well as preparing closing documents. 

Apart from M&A transactions, Darel has also assisted companies listed on the SGX-ST for compliance with post-listing requirements under the SGX Rules, such as preparing the documentation for share buyback mandates.
